At our “Well-Spent Million Party” in March of 2009, IWCF launched an endowment plan and the first campaign to begin providing for our long-term sustainability.
The response was amazing! We met our goal quickly, invested wisely… and then stopped talking about it.
Consistently running such a lean budget, we chose not to touch this fund during its initial years. In 2016, putting the budget together, we decided it was time to invest a little in infrastructure, freshening up our look and updating our technology systems and support to provide the services our members need and expect. At the same time, we recognize that continuing to invest a little more in our long-term sustainability now will better position us to support our communities in the future.
